New Considerations in the Natalie Wood Death

By | February 2, 2018

Wow, I just saw that Natalie Wood’s drowning in 1981 is now being considered a “suspicious death” and her husband Robert Wagner is being considered “a person of interest”. The police did add that there is not enough to make an arrest at this time.

I’ve always been interested in the story because I always thought she was so pretty and a good actress.  They were a very striking couple.  Natalie became one of American’s sweetheart in her first role in the original Miracle on 34th Street.  She also appeared in Rebel without a Cause and West Side Story.

She drowned after falling off her yacht, Thanksgiving weekend, in 1981.  Her death was originally determined accidental but in 2011 her death certificate was changed to “Drowning and other undetermined factors”.

Witnesses say the couple, the yacht captain, and another guest were very drunk the night she died.

New developments include witnesses stating they  heard the couple fighting on the night she died and that Wagner was the last to see her.  He doesn’t seem to be responding to requests to be interviewed.

If he is guilty I do believe he should be brought to justice but he has lived 37 years as a free man and is soon turning 88.  I don’t think he would survive long in prison.  It will be interesting to see what happens.
